Halloween was fantastic. My costume was put together last minute. The dress is a vintage piece I found at the antique market. Goldie loves Halloween just as much as I do. She helped greet trick or treaters as they came to the door. There were so many children this year!! My friend who lives in Salem helped me find parking and I got to hang with him and one of my favorite pups ever. I met up with Olivia and Jerm and some of our friends. A few people in our group were the vampires from 30 Days of Night. They really were fantastic vampires. I listened to creepy organ music and metal on the way home. It’s also Jr and Kat’s second anniversary. Happy anniversary!!

Pixie Boots
I'm always on the quest to find knee high boots that fit me properly. Being petite means having shorter legs, which means tall boots that fit the average height woman are much too tall for me and my other fellow short women. The only shorter boots that I have come across that have been shorter that the usual 15 inch shaft are vintage.

I have just recently purchased these from Etsy shop GrannysBootery and I am so excited to see how they work out for me. The owner of the shop really helped me out with all my questions. Never hold back when wanting to find out about a product you want to purchase Wish me luck. I'll post pictures when I finally get them in.

Lace Cowl.
So my crochet teacher rules: rides on the back of her bf's harley, loves wolves, loves to antique, collects old buttons and crochet hooks, and is an amazing crocheter and teacher. I have just had a few classes and she showed me a beautiful lace patterned cowl that was an intermediate pattern that she thought i could do. I guess she was right because away I go...

King Richard's Faire is a yearly tradition. How could you not love such an event. Women, men and children alike dress in Barbaric garb. The women dress in corsets with their breasts adorned up to their necks. There are fairies, elves, gargoyles, and trolls.
Not only are their acts, but also there is what one of the seller's called a "medieval flea market." There is everything from incense to axes and swords, from pet dragons to capes and cloaks. I ended up leaving with fifty incense cones. I purchased dragon's
blood, frankincense and myrrh, pachouli, sandalwood, amber wood, and black rose. I also left with hand crafted oil lamp and a suede hat which has made some fabulous appearances this Fall.
King Richard's Faire is known for their large portioned grub. Peasant bread (fried dough),
turkey legs, and fountains of beer and wine. My boyfriend and I, Ryan, had our traditional turkey legs. I couldn't finish mine so his brother helped me out.
We had a fabulous time. It was the first real cold day of the year, but it didn't bother us much. We layered up. There were a few new acts and attractions this year. One of the new attractions was the Fairy Trove. It's more of a wish tree. They had a basket of string sitting on a rock and you take a piece and tie it to the tree and make a wish. It was quite touching standing under the tree with all the strings of wishes blowing in the wind.
I can't wait until King Richard's Faire next year to see what's in store.

Autumn Colors

I purchased this today. I can't wait until I can crochet a little better so I can make my own winter accessories. And once I master crocheting, I will learn how to knit and to tat and whatever I can get my hand on.
